Ten Top Nintendo Video Games

Ten Top Nintendo Video Games

The popularity of playing video games became a fad most all youngsters were caught up in to pass away hours of entertainment. Games could be played individually or pitted two or more players against each other in competitions to see who would be the best. Nintendo started the whole video game playing craze and Nintendo has also produced several video game consoles since 1977 to play those games on.

1. Mario Brothers (and the Super Mario Brothers sequels). Mario Brothers is a platform video game, released in 1983, and is the video game that started the whole game playing craze. Player must save Princess Toadstool from the evil King Koopa. Mario, and his brother, Luigi, if a second player is playing, must fight in eight different castles, and a final fight at the end of the game with King Koopa, to save Princess Toadstool.

2. Zerba was released in 1992, and little quirks made this game fun for the players. Squeaking killer chickens, fortune tellers, witches, fairies, and a treasure hunt were all involved in order for the player to win.

3. Baseball Stars by SNC, released in 1989. In this game the player could create and own his own baseball team and baseball players. Player could name the players, trade them, power them up, and save the changes wanted.

4. Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Country, released in 1994, were platform games that added a new dimension to platform gaming and players could swap characters. The games made very little sense to most players but were fun to play.

5. Top Gun by Konomi, released in 1994, was one of the first flight simulation video games and included four missions the player had to accomplish, including landing on an aircraft carrier at the end of the first mission which was made impossible to do until the player figured out how to manipulate the games commands, and a mid air refueling was just as difficult. If the player failed to attach to the refueling plane he was done for that game. Recovery was impossible.

6. Yo! Noid by Capcom, released in 1990. The game was based on the famous Dominos Pizza Mascot, the dreaded Noid, and players had minimum energy in the game. One hit and the player died and would have to start the whole level over again. The game included a pizze eating contest at the end of every level.

7. Karate Kid by Nintendo, released in 1987, had four extremely hard levels of play and the Karate Kid, the player, could only jump straight up and down. Bullies on every level attacked the player and there were pits everywhere.

8. Megaman by Capcom. The game was released in 1987 and was a very challenging game to play to say the least. The player could not save the player's progress. There were no energy tanks and the game included some very memorable characters.

9. Ghosts and Goblins by Capcom. This 1986 game was one of the hardest 8 bit games ever created. The player was only allowed two hits in the whole game. Once the player hit the final level had to restart the entire game over again.

10. Silver Surfer was Nintendo's legendary most difficult game to play of them all, as considered by most players. There were multiple enemies on each screen all the time. Player had to be constantly shooting to survive, and only one hit killed the player while opponents were allowed to have continual hits and remain alive.
