Kodak's Best Digital Camera

Kodak's Best Digital Camera

When we think about it, we take photography for granted. I say this because, when you look around, there are literally hundreds of people carrying around digital cameras, and cell phones that have cameras, and they are taking tons of pictures. I have always thought that photography is a very spiritual activity. You are literally freezing a moment in time, and you can have physical evidence of days gone by, instead of just memories that only you can enjoy. Seeing the importance of photography, there is no doubt that when you are needing to purchase a new digital camera, or a second one, there is much thought that goes into it. Well, there is one really great camera available that can protect your precious memories for generations with its amazing picture quality. I am talking about the Kodak EasyShare 7.1 MegaPixel Digital Camera, Model: Z712IS.

Some of the great features about this digital camera include a total MegaPixel value of 7.1 this is absolutely amazing. Your pictures will turn out extremely crisp and clear, not only because of the MegaPixels, but also because that this camera captures high resolution photographs that go up to 3081 x 2313 pixels. Basically, this means that your images will have a clarity to them that you never thought possible. This camera also has a 12x optical zoom, 4.2x digital zoom and a total zoom of 50x's, and all of this is done through the dual precision crafted Schneider Kreuznach C Variogon lens. That's a lot of words that don't make much sense, but the only thing you need to know about this is that your pictures are going to look breathtaking.

This digital camera uses a Kodak Color Science chip, which actually uses surroundings from your location to adjust its settings, all to give you a brilliant photograph. There is also an image stabilizer, which will reduce distortion from being zoomed tightly into a subject. This also is beneficial if you are taking a picture on a not so sturdy surface, now your pictures won't have a blur or a distortion to them because of vibrations.

You can also choose between several different scene modes, which will customize your picture according to what you're shooting. Some of these modes include flower, sunset, candlelight, text, snow, children, portrait and panorama stitch just to name a few. There are literally hundreds of different settings and options you can attach to one picture, this is the ultimate in customized photography.

Another great feature is the burst shooting mode. When you select this shooting option, the camera will capture 2 fps (frames per second), which go up to 6 frames. This is a perfect shooting mode if you are planning to capture high action moments, such as in sports, or if you go camping and need to capture that deer frolicking throughout the valley. Now you can do all of that, and not have blurry or incoherent photographs. There is also an option to shoot video, if you need to capture something that is moving a little too fast. This camera records video clips in QuickTime MPEG 4 VGA, at 640 x 480 pixels at 30 fps, as well as in QVGA format, which uses 320 x 240 pixels and films at 30 fps. Both of these options film with audio as well as having zoom capabilities and the image stabilization option.

If you are looking for a great new camera, than this one will most likely be your best fit. It's perfect for every type of photographer. Whether you are a professional, or just a weekend shooter, this camera has a feature for you. And, with an average price tag of only $299.99, this camera is also very affordable. View profile
